It was time to do something about the shed. the front corner seemed to be sinking. The doors were all crooked. And i could see light through the walls. But once I opened this can of worms The extent of damage was worse than i thought<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First Noticed the doors were uneven and getting hard to close<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvSo I attempted to lift the front corner to place blocks under it and bring it up to level<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

When i tried to put a jack under the side i noticed there was nothing there to jack against<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
looking on the inside of the shed it didn’t look too bad<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
Looking a little closer i could see some of the sill plate was missing<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
so i looked closer to find out there was part of the frame of the floor missing<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
I was able to slide a second 4×4 skid under to sister against the old one<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
looking from the outside where i tried jacking the shed up there was nothing there but siding<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
I started removing what i could by hand and started realizing that not only was there no sill plate of side frame there were no joists at the end<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a>
I cut some flooring out of the way to reveal that the joist were all rotted off<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sistered in new joists<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Rebuilt the side of the floor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

As i worked my way around to the back wall i found the same issue along the bacl of the shed. the walls were just hanging with no sill plate<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Replaced the joist and added a ill plate. added straps at the wall studs to hold them in place and make them easy to replace later<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

closed it up to keep the critters out<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

looks nice but i don’t like the junk that collects in the back left corner<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

easy wipe doesn’t stain from gas and oil<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

much brighter<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

new idea for this area<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
