Front Wheel and Brakes
When I looked over the front wheel and brakes I found Dry rot crack in the tire
The Front brakes appeared to be working At least when you pulled the lever the wheel would stop

Problem Found
When the front wheel was on the bike initially, It felt like the front brake was actually working. However, That is only half true. When I removed the caliper I noticed that only one piston was working. The other one is pressed all the way in and does not come out.
- First, I attempted to pump the brake handle to pop the stuck piston out with no success
- Second, I removed the caliper from the bike and attempted to push it out with 150 psi compressor with no luck (didn’t move at all)
- Third, I soaked the caliper in pb blaster than Ran it through several hours in the sonic cleaner
- Forth, I tried Forcing it out with a 220psi air compressor. Still no luck
- Fifth, I ordered a diesel fuel injector pressure tester pump capable of up to 6000 psi. when it comes I will attempt that as these calipers are rare and very expensive when you can find a used one somewhere
08/21/2025 – Good and bad news
After quite a bit of fabricating to make a hydraulic that would connect the Fuel injector Pressure tester to the caliper I was finally able to remove both pistons. However, After cleaning up all the parts I found that one of the pistons has some damage to it that could cause loss of seal or possible brake fluid leakage and that’s just not safe so I had to order a caliper rebuild kit that includes new pistons. Although the kit was under $80. so the only real set back is the time I have to wait for it to arrive.
